I recently moved to Berlin to look for a position in a language school teaching English, or potential private English students. Why Berlin? I love the city, and I love the recent mix of cultures, the differing mentalities, but most of all, I love the freedom of expression which is something extremely unique to the city. I've been studying German for about 6 years now, and I already studied at a Sprachschule in Berlin for 7 months in my junior year of college. I was extremely eager to reconnect with old friends and some people who have really come to feel like family in my home away from home.
I'm a recent graduate with a bachelors in German, English, and International Studies, and now I'm really hoping that this degree, motivated by my intense interest in other cultures, people, and languages will manifest into some sort of job (preferably one having to do with teaching English) where I can pursue experiences with all three.
My work ethic is such that I often will pursue knowledge or a hobby simply out of curiosity. I'm extremely self-motivated and am really looking forward to getting some more experience as a teacher. I can help to motivate students as well as expressing extreme patience and sincerity in hoping for the improvement of my students. I feel this intense desire, mainly because I understand myself the difficulties and sometimes, the feeling of utter hopelessness that goes along with studying a language, and I now feel more than ready to provide the framework to help someone else through that process.
It is my hope with this blog, to write about my own learning process as a teacher (what did work and what didn't work) and I look forward to constructive criticism and suggestions from other teachers as well.

Warum Berlin?
Ich liebe der Stadt seit ich im 2009 hier studiert habe. Ich war bei der Sprachschule Deutsch in Deutschland für 4 Monaten, und danach habe ich für drei Monaten an die Humboldt Universität studiert. Ich mag die vielfältíge Kultur in Berlin. Ich war zuerst in Deutschland interessiert, weil meine Familie Gaststudenten aus Deutschland hat.
Ich möchte jetzt Englisch Unterricht geben, und wenn du lust hast, Englisch zu lernen, schreib mir eine Nachricht. Ich bin sehr neugierig, geduldig, und selbst motiviert. Mein Englisch Unterricht kann sehr flexibel auf die Bedürfnisse meiner Studenten sein.
